27th International Congress for Conservation Biology

Four members of the LINKAGE team took part in the 27th International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB, http://www.iccb-eccb2015.org/) held in Montpellier (France) on 2-6 August 2015. We presented the results of our research both during oral and poster sessions.

1. Spatial distribution of ecosystem services as perceived by nature conservation professionals and lay people – an experimental study using facilitated workshops,
2. How is biodiversity framed by policy-executors? Insight from regional and local practitioners in Małopolska region, Poland,
3. Rethinking the use of PPGIS in exploring reception of ecosystem services - how to assure data validity?
4. Online participatory mapping of ecosystem services and land use preferences in the Polish Tatras – experiences and challenges.

5-10.07.2015
9th IALE World Congress

LINKAGE team members – Małgorzata Grodzińska-Jurczak, Agata Pietrzyk-Kaszyńska and Marcin Rechciński – participated in 9th IALE World Congress (http://www.ialeworldcongress.org/) that took part in Portland, Oregon (USA) on 50-10 July 2015. We had the opportunity to present preliminary results of participatory mapping workshops conducted within the project and discuss it with other researchers from all over the world.

Our presentations during the conference:
